heavy cross

Its ironic, I work at Shotwell, doing the styling for the online store, yet i never feel like i get the opportunity to actually style. Don't get me wrong, its a great opportunity and I love everyone i work with, but its just not my vision. Its 8-12 hours, non-stop of one product after another, with 3 minutes in between for each look. Its just as stressful as it sounds, but I've definately learned what it takes to ensure that each look comes out well thought out, photogenic, and most importantly sellable. This semester has been super hard for me, its the first time Ive been working as hard as i have been and taking classes at the same time, a lesson in time management for sure. Ive hardly had any time for my self in 3 months, let alone time to plan, source and style and editorial of my own.

Its been my Heavy Cross to bear.

Thankfully though, the semester is almost over, and while i have a lot of work to do, i see the light at the end of the creative tunnel. Ive anxiously been planning 2 menswear editorial projects and i intend to get at least one of them done over this break.

wish me luck.

I did this editorial spring semester with my best friend Nick Rivera
